Enjoy….
1. Nyang Nyang Beach
This is my most favorite one so far. If you want to have the long white sandy beach for yourself, this is it. This secluded beach is breath taking. But bear in mind that it needs a lot of effort to have something priceless. You have to go down and up to 530 stairs (I counted it myself ). I had pain on my calves for 3 days after the trip to this beach, but I don’t mind. I would go there again sooner or later.
2. Padang Padang Beach
It was my first choice last year but not anymore. The impact of the movie Eat Love and Pray is so huge to this beach. this little beach is now packed with people. I hardly found any space to lay down and read my book peacefully. The interesting part from this beach is you will see two different groups. Local group will automatically cluster themselves on the shade while all Bules (foreign tourists) will be directly under the sun to get sun burn. What a difference……
3. Balangan Beach
I change my preference to this beach after broken hearted with padang padang beach. Although I can`t categorize this beach as a secret beach but I still can enjoy silence and peace in some parts of it. If you are lucky you can see a beautiful wedding up in its cliff. Also, this beach is special as I learned how to surf here.
4. Mertasari Beach (Sanur)
If you do kite surfing, this is the best beach to come. There are some kite surfing schools along the beach. But if you just want to chill out, there are 4 little cafes where you can enjoy the sun, read your book or even hang out with friends with a reasonable price. If you order a drink or food, the sun bed will be yours for the whole day…so enjoy sun bathing….J
5. Tegal Wangi Beach
I didn’t really spend a lot of time in this beach as it has a very small beach and it was high tide when I was there. However, this is another sophisticated thing about Bali. The beach is consistently beautiful and breathe taking. I will go back again sometime in the future.
6. Geger Beach
Everything was perfect about Geger beach but it is ruined by the ongoing massive constructions along the beach. if you want to go to the easiest access of beach (without hurting your feet to step on the stairs) this is the best choice to go and you still can enjoy its beauty (of course if you don’t mind with the noise from the construction and more and more sun beds ). What I did is to walk away far from the crowd and get my me time on a secluded part of geger beach.
7. Sawangan Beach (Nikko Hotel)
It is just close by Geger Beach. In fact, you can see this beach from Geger. However, this is my third choice after nyang nyang beach and balangan beach. if you are lucky you will see prawedding photo shoots with camels, well those camel are so cute.
8. Green Bowl Beach
A lot of efforts also need to be taken to go to this beach. We have to go down to 330 stairs. Make sure you go there when the baliness are not praying (Upacara, they called). otherwise you have to share the beach with those who come to the beach to pray. well, you still can avoid them though but you have to swim to the otherside of the cliff to get your privacy.
9. Amed
It is a perfect place to go for snorkeling and diving. dont expect white sandy beach in this area. But if you
are longing for quiteness and seclusion this is it
.
10. Dream Beach (Nusa Lembongan)
This beach is in Nusa Lembongan. It is about 30minutes by boat from Sanur. the price for the public boat is IDR 75.000 for local and IDR 150.000 for foreign tourist. however, it`s worthed to spend money to go to this beach.
11. Nunggalan beach here
12. White Sand Beach
It is located in Candidasa. It is worth visiting if you want to explore the east cost of Bali.
To visit beaches (and it will be SOON)
1. Kubu Beach
2. Pageh Beach
3. Bingin Beach
PS: If you want to know detail how to get there, just email me...Have fun
Hey, I like your post. As a matter of fact I've been searched for more secluded beaches too. And when I read this I was like.. Wow! It's good to see a person with a similar thought. I have been in 7 of beaches in this list and still searching for another too
